Big News for North Texas Families: Universal Kids Resort and Dig World Are Coming to DFW

Universal Kids Resort in Frisco and Dig World Grapevine Bring New Family Attractions to DFW

 

North Texas continues to attract exciting new destinations, and two major family-focused attractions are generating plenty of buzz across the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

The first is Universal Kids Resort, a brand-new theme park experience designed specifically for families with young children. Located in Frisco, the resort is scheduled to open on July 1, 2026, and will feature themed lands inspired by beloved franchises including Shrek, Jurassic World, SpongeBob SquarePants, Minions, Trolls, and more.

According to Universal, the park is being created to provide immersive experiences, attractions, entertainment, and character interactions tailored to younger guests and their families.

Another exciting addition coming to the Metroplex is Dig World Grapevine. This unique attraction gives children and adults the opportunity to operate real construction equipment in a safe, hands-on environment. The Grapevine location is expected to open in Summer 2026, bringing an interactive experience unlike anything else currently available in the area.

Dig World has quickly gained attention for combining entertainment, outdoor play, and educational experiences centered around construction and heavy machinery.
